Christehurch; Last Night, In connection with sales of timber bj auction, the Board of Trade has beet asked to give its ruling as to whetj») tile building regulations respecting $< sale of timber by timber merchants must apply. The Board has decided that, purchasers of timber at. auction must satisfy the auctioneer that the timber is needed in respect of building operations for which permits are held. •
