UNION DISCUSSES DISPUTE.
SUPPORT FOR THE FEDERATION.
A meeting of the New Plymouth Freezing Workers' Union was held last night, when Mr. R. Patterson, a Federation representative from Wellington, addressed a very large gathering of members and explained the proceedings that had taken place between the employers' representatives and the Federation in Wellington, in connection with the present dispute. Mr. Patterson answered numerous questions to the satisfaction of the questioners. At the close of the meeting the following resolution was put and carried with one dissentient: "That this meeting agrees to abide and stand by the Federation." Mr. Patterson was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for his address, this being carried by acclamation.
