SATURDAY COMPETITION
RESULT OF MATCHES Playing in ihe competitions on Saturday, Old Boys defeated Xew Plymouth North by an innings and 29 runs, and South defeated High School by 116 runs. OLD BOYS v. NEW PLYMOUTH NORTH. The innings by Old Boys netted 153. Bottrlll had made 52 when caught, and Monteath (34) was another successful batsman. Bowling forth North Quickfall got six wickets for 3f» runs. North were all out for 53, Osborno taking six wickets for 10 runs. Their second innings realised 71. Osborne got four at the cost of 18 runs. Scores:—

HIGH -SCHOOL v. NEW PLYMOUTH SOUTH.
The school team batted first and made 76, Hine (24) and Brown (23). Clarke secured four wickets for 29 runs, and Heskett 3 for 18. The South replied with 192 for ten wickets, Nash making 57, and a number of others did some steady batting. Hughes and Palmer were the principal bowlers for the school. Details of the match are:—
