The Herald slates (hut the test team should meet with general approval as a thoroughly representative, side. It appears adequately equipped iai all departments. The batting strength contains a bountiful promise of plenty of runs. In bowling the team is much less formidable on paper, but may evolve some welcome surprises on hard true wickets. The Telegraph says the team should meet with general approval. Ten players are capable of making a century at any time in firstclass cricket. The abandonment of tho New South Wales v. South Australia match is without precedent and la causing speculation respecting the disposition of points. The Sheffield Shield rules say matches must be played out, but according io the Marylebono Club the game was drawn. A round table conference of New South Wales, South Australia, and Vistorla will probably decide the matter. TO-DAY'S MATCHES.
