ENGAGEMENTS. The engagements are announced of Miss Myra Lansley, of New Plymouth, to Mr. Ernest G. Falconer, of the Deeds Office, N*w Plymouth, and also of Miss Essie Lansley, youngest daughter of Mrs. Lansley,'of New Plymouth, to Mr. Alfred G. Jennings, son of the Hon. W. T. Jennings, of New Plymouth. The engagement Is announced of Mi*s Jessie Murielle Collier, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Collier, of Manaia, to Mr. Magnus Sinclair Hughson, third son of Mr. and Mrs. T. P. Hughson, of Rahotu. WEDDING. TARRANT—SAUNDERS. A pretty wedding was celebrated at the Methodist Church, Hawera, on November 24, the contracting parties being Miss Edna Bessie, third daugh- I ter of Mr\ and Mrs* J. T. Saunders, Hawera, to Mr. Charles Cleverley Tarrant, third son of Mr. and Mrs! C. C. Tarrant, Wanganui. The officiating minister was the Rev. A. - Liversedge, and Mr. C. Morshead played the Wedding March as the bridal party left the church. The bride wore a dainty gown of white crepe de chine, with pearl and satin trimmings, wearing the usual veil and orange blossoms, and carried a beautiful bouquet. Miss Ida Saunders (sister of the bride) attended ae, bridesmaid, dressed hi heliotrope crepe dp chine, with a black hat. "Miss Lena Strawbridge (niece of the bridegroom) was flower girl wearing white crepe de chine. Mr. W. R. Saunders carried out the duties of best man. The reception was hold at the Aotca Dining Rooms, where the usual toasts were honored. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a ,gold.wristlet watch, and a manicure set and brooch to the bridesmaid and flower girl respectively. Mr. and Mrs. Tarrant left by motor car on a honevmoon trip tn Rotorua atyl Tauranga. The bride's travelling costume was a navy serge and white crepe de chine hat.—Star. 8
