WEDDING.
HODGE—ROBINSON. A very pretty wedding took place at the Presbyterian Church, Hawera, on Wednesday, November 24, when Miss Queenio Elizabeth Hodge, daughter of Mr. H. Hodge, of Alton, was married to Mr. Horace Edward Eobinson, of Hawera, and formerly of Christclvurch, the Rev. A. Gray ibeing the officiating miniirter. The bride, who looked clwmingly pretty, entered the church on the ,arm of her father, and was handsomely attired in white crepe de chine, with pearl trimmin'gs, wearing also the regulation veil and orange blossoms, and carrying a beautiful bouquet of real orange blossoms, the gift of Mrs. 11. Donald, of Manaia. Miss Doris Hodge, sister to the bride, acted as bridesmaid, being attired in a very pretty crepe dc chine dress, with vieux rose ash and hat of white georgette. Mr, C. J. McFadyen carried out the duties of best man. At the conclusion of the ceremony, a reception was held »t the Islington Tea Rooms, where some 150 guests foregathered, and the usual toasts were duly honored. Later on, Mr. and Mrs. Robinson left by motor for the I south, the bride travelling in a. handsome grey tailored costume. The bride's present to 'the bridegroom was a silver-mounted walking stick, the bridegroom's present to the bride being a circular amethyst brooch. Both the bride and bridegroom were the recipients of a large number of handsome and | valuable presents.—Star. j
