The fielding of tiie Englishmen was brilliant. Tozer played a careful innings, and gave no chances. He was finally caught in outfield by Hendren. After the luncheon adjournment play was brighter. Macartney played attractively and batted His score included eleven fours, and the partnership yielded 112 runs. Armstrong played a good innings, including six fours.
