NO HOUSE FOR GOVERNOR
CANNOT LIVE IN CHRISTCHURCH. By Telegtaim.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night, Even the representative of the King is not immune from the inconvenience and disappointment intailed by the house shortage. Lord Jellieoe had hoped to make a prolonged stay in Christchurch, but the following letter, read at a meeting of the Navy League tonight, from his private secretary, shows that Christchurch cannot at present havo the honor of having the GovernorGeneral resident in the city: reply to your letter of November 10, I have to. inform "you that their Excellencies had intended to go into residence in Christchurch, but that owing to its being impossible to procure a suitablt house they are now unable to do so, and I am unable to say when they ara likely to be in residence there."
