The repqrt was adopted. Mr. Pepperell then tendered his resig' nation, saying that ]w felt five years was long enough to hold the office. Many members of the Synod testified to his splendid work in this department and succeeded in persuading Mr. Pepper, ell to accept re-appointment. The Synod agreed to support home mission grants to the following circuits: Waitara, Inglewood, Wangamti East, Manaia, 'Kapdnga, Marton, East Egmont, Patea, Waimarino. Tn the afternoon, before a considerably thinned Synod, the question of the Bible in schools came up for discussion. On account of the debatable nature of the question it was decided to recommend the conference to set up a strong committee to collect all evidence available and submit fame to the Svuod in 1921. Votes of thanks were accorded those who had so graciously entertained the Synod members, the Press, and the Synod arrangements committee. The record of the Synod's doings was then read and signed, and the chairman declared the Synod closed.
