Tie sports contest for this year was '..eld at New Plymouth yesterday, and some keen contests were witnessed among the IT competitors which have entered this year, representative of Stratford D.H S., Hawcra Teollniftl College, N.P.H.S., and Inglewood Primary Schools. The sports yesterday were held in the New Plymouth High School ground, which was in splendid condition, and complete arrangements had been m.-uj) for the conduct of 'the gathering by Mr. Moyes, principal of tho School, who, with Mr. Diprose, rendered valuable assistance in running the sports. Th:' Rugby Unoion officials present were: Messrs. .las. McLcod (chairman), J. Garcia, and A R. Ryder. Allen, a very promising athlete from luyjc--wood, gained most points, scoring 133.
