CONFERENCE IN CAMERA By Telegraph.—Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. The annual Dominion conference of waterside workers opened here to-day. Twenty-five delegates from fifteen ports were present,' with the president (Mr. Glover), the secretary (Mr. Roberts), and the official recorder (Miss Bolt). The delegates were welcomed by the Mayor and by. Mr. W. Craig (president of the Timaru watersiders). Committees were appointed, and it was decided not to admit the Press, but reports will be supplied, and that a special report be prepared for distribution to the unions. The conference then adjourned till next day.'
