CONCILIATION COUNCIL.

GENERAL LABORERS' WAGES. The application of the New Plymouth General Laborers' Union for a new award, and the employers' counter proposals, will be considered at a sitting of the Conciliation Council in New Plymouth to-day. The Conciliation Commissioner, Mr. T. Ha rle Giles, of Auckland, who arrived yesterday, will preside. The assessors for the employers will be Messrs. A. Boon, F. T. Bellringer and F, Whittakcr, and the employees' representatives will be Messrs. J. Dillon, G. Jones, and F. .T. Lyons. The Hotel Workers' Award will also be considered during the Commissioner's visit.
