FROZEN MEAT.
STORAGE DIFFICULTIES REMOVED. By Tolseraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Nov. 27. The Prime Minister stated to-day that the quantity of Imperial meat in the stores at the end of the year would not much exceed one million freight carcases. The lifting of the seven million carcases held in the stores in June last had proceeded rapidly, and all cause for anxiety regarding the storage of the new season's meat had now been removed. Space was now being allotted for free meat.

The balance for which space has not been allotted up to the end of the year is '500,056 freight carsases of beef, and 411,78,") freight carcases of mutton, lamb, and sundries—total 1,007,841 freight carcases. Fifteen steam ers are to-day loading frozen produce in New Zealand, including two steamers, tire Albion Star and the Woodarra, which are taking beef only.
