Auckland, Last Night, When the vaudeville artist, Louis La Bron, appeared in Court to-day charged* with assaulting Mrs. Ermey, a remand * for a week was granted, Senior?Berge«t Eales remarking that the injured,fpman would not be out of hospital for a few days. He added that the injurim were severe, and the young woman would probably be dislgured for life. Mr. 0. E. Stout, ■on behalf of the a*-* cused, asked that bail be allowed, and thiß was fixed at one surety of £BOO, which was forthcoming. It is alleged Le Brun went to the playhouse to get his stage properties arranged, and Ralph Ermey and his wife (Yank and Jean) were about the same business, when Le Brun is alleged to have savagely assaulted Mrs. Ernie;, and to have struck Ermey, too, whin, he went to his wife's assistance. The young woman's nose was split, and the, cartilage torn from the bone, while an, ' artery was broken. She was sent tft private hospital to have these painful injuries attended to. Meantime a cot* stable was summoned and Le Brun was arreted..
