SIX MILLION LOAN.
ALL MONEY NOT IN SIGHT. AN EXTENSION OF TIME. (By Wire;— Own Correspondent.) Wellington, Last Night. '* Tlie Soldiers' Settlement Loan will not close this week, and the date of closing is not yet known definitely. Subscriptions, it is understood, have been coming forward well during the last few days, but the Government has not yet got in sight all the monev that it requires, and some extension of time will be allowed the slow lenders. If the sum required ( £0,000.000) has not been subscribed when the loan doses the compulsory provisions of the authorj ising Act will be applied. The Minister for Finance Ma no doubt about the ability of the Treasury to secure the full amount.
