Auckland, Last Night. ]n a long article to-night the Star alleges timt, a eaae was heard recently at tlie Supreme Court when a police officer, formerly a resident in Auckland, tfaa granted a divorce from his wife, aild it was taken early in the morning, the door of the Court being locked and reporters being unablp to gain admittance; When the matter was referred- to the Judge who took the case, bis Honoi was amazed, and said he knew nothing about any doors being closed while the petition was heard. I The Star alleges that the doore wen ! closed by some Court official or official* and adds that the incident is likely to give an unpleasant impression that tin j time-honored privilege of open Court being jeopardised.
