LABOR LEADER RESIGNS. By Telegraph.—Frew Assn.—Copyright, Received Nov, 23, 5.5 p.m. London, Nov. 22. At a conference of the International Federation of Trade Unions, Mr. W. A. Appleton (a prominent Labor leader, and president of the Federation) resigned, because he found the presidency involved the acceptance of Socialism. He said he was asking Mr. Samuel Gompers (President of the American Federation of Labor) what he proposed to do.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
