HOLDING MEETINGS IN CAMERA, EXCLUSION OF KEPORTERS At a meeting of the New Plymouth branch of the New Zealand Labor Party last night a resolution wa* put forward in favor of excluding the Press from meetings of the party, and after discussion was carried by 14 votes to six. Those in favor of the proposal regarded tho Press generally throughout New Zealand as enemies of the movement. They did not think there was anything to lie gained in having the reporters present, and some suggested that the needs of the party in tha matter of a report could be.met by a summary supplied by the secretary. The opponents of the resolution favored full publicity being given to the proceed inn.-; at the meetings in order to let the public know what transpired. The question of whether the resolution should be put by ballot wan alao discussed, bnt the matter was finally decided as above on a show of hands.
