He had complained the previous evening •of feeling unwell. It is understood that he suffered from heart disease. A BUSH MISHAP. Wangahui, Nov. 22. A returned soldier, named John Amos, who was working in the bush at Mangapurua soldiers' settlement, Wanganui River, fell on a sharp stake of supplejack, which entered his abdomen and pierced his internal organs. The injured man was brought to town on the river boat, a distance of 70 miles, and taken to the hospital. An operation was performed, and his condition has slightly improved to-day-. DEATH FROM FALL. Dunedin, Nov. 22. The body of Mrs. Margaret Moss was found at the foot of a cliff at Tomahawk Head. Mrs. Moss was the wife of Cornelius Moss, engineer. She was 30 years of age, and had been undergoing treatment depression following illness. ■DROWNED IN HAIfBGR. Auckland, Nov. 22.
