The Treasurer has announced that the damage caused by the Are at the State timber yards on Saturday last amounted to £OO,OOO. The Government has announced that if the trawler seamen refuse to take the trawlers to sea ajl hands will be paid off. Received Nov. 20, 12.65 a.m. Sydney, Nov. 10. The Miners' Federation has decided, owing to the Victorian Government's refusal to comply with the award of the tribunal concerning the Victorian brown coal mine, that steps be taken to prevent coal, entering Victoria, and stopworlc meetings will be held on the 24th inst. to explain the position to tho miners.
