DECREASED BIRTH RATE. _J By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Tokio, Nov. 16. The census report of Japan for 1919 shows 1,513,000 deaths, an increase of 298,000 over the preceding year. The births totalled 7,823,000. a decrease of 18,000. The increased cost of living decreased marriages and the influenza epidemic i 9 credited with having caused the changes.—Reuter.
