THE PEOPLE'S. OWEN MOORE IN "PICADILLY JIM." One of the best known and most popular male stars of the screen returns after some months' absence in a role splendidly fitted to his debonnair, care-free manner that is so peculiarly his own. As "Piccadilly Jim" in his first Selznick picture Owen Moore is provided with a role that fits to perfection his marked talent for light comedy of the society-satire type, giving him scope for genuine originality and humor. "Piccadilly Jim," as the story runs, 9hines as an international gay dog, a man-about-town both in London and New York, entangled in amusing and misleading situations on both sides of the ocean, and Owen Moore plays the role with evident appreciation of its possibilities for clever liigh comedy. The story has humor, dramatic situations, and a logical plot, worked out in a logical manner. Owen adds to the humor, dominates the dramatic situations, and throughout gives an intelligent, workmanlike rendition of the role. The-bill includes gazette, comedy, travel, and Great Gamble No. 8, "The Ring of Fire." The matinee to-day commences at 2 p.m.
