It applies to all employees including non-manual workers, excepting agriculturists and domestic servants, whose remuneration does not exceed £250 annually. Nearly 12,000,000 persons, of whom one-third are women, are now insured, compared with 4,000,000 in lnil. The standard weekly payments range from lftd for a man to 4Jd for a girl, and are divided between the employer and the employee. The State weekly benefits range from lf>s to Cs respectively .—Reuter.
