PUBLIC NOTICES. NEW PLYMOUTH BOKOUGH COUNCIL. UaSULT OF TOLL TO RAISE A LOAN. J>URSUANT to Section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 11113, I hereby give notice that, a poll of the Ratepayers of the Borough of New Plymouth was .taken on the 3rd day of November, 1020, on a proposal to raise a Special Loan of £43,500 for the following purposes; (a) £2r>.500 for the, construction of an extension of the Council's Overhead Electric Tramway System with rails and permanent way from the present terminus near the intersection of Devon and ilorley Streets in the Borough of New Plymouth, to David Street, in 'the said Borough, via Morley Street, Wallace Place, and Tukapo Street, for purchasing, taking or otherwise acquiring necessary land, buildings, machinery, plant and materials therefor, for payment of compensation 'to persons injuriously affected thereby, for forming, re-forming and improving the streets, carriage-ways, and footways on the route of such extension, and for anr other purposes incidental or in relation to any of the above-men-tioned purposes. (b) £IS,OOO for the provision and establishment of a service for the conveyance of passengers and goods upon .the Railllcss Electric Traction or the Trolly Omnibus Traction System from the Railway Station in St. Auhvn Street in the said Borough, to the junction of Carrington and Brookland Roads in .the said Borough, for purchasing, taking or otherwise acquiring necessary land, buildings, cars, vehicles, machinery, plant and material therefor, for payment of compensation to persons injuriously aileeted thereby, for forming, reforming and improving the street, carriage-ways and footways on the route of such service, and for any other purpose incidental or in relation to any of the above-mentioned »pnrposos.
