Cable Assn. LORD JELLICOE DEFENDED. London, Nov. 3. Vice-Admiral Kerr, in a Tetter de> defends Lord .Tellicoe's tactics at the Battle of Jutland. He points out that the fleet in line of battle, extended seven miles, of which distance half would be ships and half water. Through Lord Jetlieoe's movement the target became only 300 yards; all the rest was water. The manoeuvre resulted in 40 torpedoes missing vessels. Otherwise at least 20 torpedoes would have found their mark. —Times Service.
