ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
• RETURNED SOLDIER MISSING. By Telegraph.—Press Asan.—Copyright. Gisborne, Nov. 2. The Police received information tonight from Hicks Bay that a returned soldier named Frederick Trenne, aged about forty years, employed on the new freezing works, disappeared from a party fishing off the rocks near Hicks Bay on Sunday. It is presumed he was washed off the rocks and drowned. Search parties are now out.
