Ho repeated the statement made some weeks ago that a contract had been let to a British firm for the construction jof 2500 trucks. In addition to this they were ■inviting tenders for the construction of a thousand trucks in New Zealand, and a number were also being built in th» railway workshops, so that he hoped the shortage would soon be overtaken.
