TARANAKI LAND BOARD.
THE MONTHLY MEEIING. The monthly meeting of the Taranaki J .and Board was held on Wednesday, '27 th ult., and the three following days. Present: Messra G. H. Bullard (chairman), J. Heslop, C. J. Ryan, N. R. ftleland, and J. W. H. Martin. The application by T. W. May for section 15, Araheke Settlement, was approved. N. E. WilEison's application to purchase the fee simple of section IS, block XT, Mapara, was approved. The following transfers were approved:—Parts sections 1686 and WB7, town of New Plymouth, Florence Mary P-haw to Elizabeth Shaw; sections 1/0, li/17, block XXVI, Manaia. M. U Herries to E. .r. Kendall; section, 0, block X, Omona, H. S. McWilliam to A. McWilliam; sections 16 and 17, Hawera Extension No. 5, W. A. O'CaHaghan to S. C". Tonks; section 11, block V, Egmont, 11. W. Saxton (by his administratrix) to Mew Plymouth Sash and Door Factory; l cetions 520 and 521, town of New Ply. Mouth, H. R. Garnham to R, 0. Ellis; s-ctions 1 and 2, block VII, Cape, H. W. Saxton (by his administratrix) to Hew Plymouth Sash and Door Co.; sec- < ion 13, block XI, Cape, Wm., J., and C. Jlothery to P, N. and C. A. Corbett; jection 12, block I, Rangi, R. A. Dittmer it J. M. Runciman; section 9, block 3'JI, Ngaire, M. Purvis to C. Stockman; lot T, part W, Town Belt of New Plynouth, Chris Carter to L. H. Tichbon." Transfers recommended for Minister's approval were:—Section 1, block I, Totoro, E. Selby and H. A. Harris to E. fielby; section 16, block X, Ngatimaru, (!. R. Matherß to R. Thompson; section 4, block VIII, Ohura, P. Bloomfield to W. McKean; section 2, block V, Ta'ura1/awa, P. H. Duckworth to L. W. WinTtood. , It was resolved to reserve an area of 0 acres from section 20, block XV, Aria, for a school site, and retain the balance.
It was decided to grant a five years' tease, without compensation for improvement, to Evan Morgans, over area fronting sections 22 and 17, Mapiu Township.
Reports of valuers on lot 4, Huirangi District, and part section 3, block XV, Jf'gaire, were received. It was resolved to offer section 3, block I, Totoro, for selection at £2 2s (14 per acre.
The report of the valuer on sections 444, 445, etc., New Plymouth, held by the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, nas received.
The ranger's „ rdpori on section 33, Mock XV, Ngatiraaru, was held over. The recommendation of the CommissVmen that an area of about 5 acres, part of E.R, 180, Patea District, be set apart as a site for a girls" hostel, was approved. It was resolved to grant a renewal of I'iase of land fronting section 11, block MI, Waro, to W. S. Parker. A new luase was also granted to J. J. Chapman.
The ranger's report on the papa resorve, section 30, block XI, Mapara, was nuonted. .
The valuator's report on the borough lease over sections 2145, etc, was received, and it was resolved to grant a renewal.
