PUKEKURA PARK.
MR. W. W. SMITH'S RESIGNATION. On the subject of the resignation of Mr. W. W. Smith as curator of Pukelcura Park. New Plymouth, "Elector" writes to the editor: "1 was somewhat astonished to read in your morning issue of the 26th of Mr, W W. Smith's resignation. The only tiling I cannot make out is how he has been there so long. As the Board is constituted it is a lot of old f.issife and it never will ho any better until we get an elective board. I have known Mr. Smith ever sineo he lias been here, and 1 must say that I have always found him obliging and courteous to every one. I! sincerely hope « public meeting, as Mr. Renaqd has suggested, will be held to give 'Jfr. Smith a, square deal." f
