CONGESTION AT THE PORT.
THE CORINNA DIVERTED. RAIN DELAYS WORK. A particularly busy week is promised at the pout of New Plymouth this week, and owing to the lack of berthage the (iorinna has been diverted. She was to arrive to-day with HOO tons of general cargo, but will now go from Nelson -to Wellington, and is not expected here before to-morrow. The three vessels in port, yesterday— Mamari, Regulus, and Arapawa—have lost two days' work by the holiday on Monday and the rain yesterday. The berthage will be fully occupied to-day when'' the Raiawa arrives; hence the postponement of the Corinna's trip. The Mamari will not sail for Wanganui before Saturday at the earliest, and the departure, of the Regulus and the Arapawa depend on the weather. The Rarawa's departure for Onehunga tonight has been altered to' 1i.30, the boat train leaving at 0 o'clock. There will be further arrivals during the latter part of the week. The C'orinna may come to-morrow, the Kowhai (from Westport with coal) and the Rarawa (from One'lmnga) are due on Friday, and 'the Flora (with southern cargo) is expected on Saturday.
