SMART SET DIGGERS.
THE NEW PLYMOUTH SEASON. The attraction at the Empire Theatre, the Australian Smart Set Diggers' entertainment, should prove a good draw to-night to holiday-makers. The Smart Set is concluding a three-night season to-night, and the large attendances on the previous nights have indicated that their performance finds favor with the public. In their programme there is a variety of items of high quality, and an enjoyable two hours is assured patrons. Scenes and burlesques provide a wealth of scenic display and many bright turns. The harp solos by Mr, Albert Torzillo have met with enthusiastic receptions bv his audiences, and these numbers are a feature of the pro« gramme. Messrs. Geo. Castles and ■lock Thomson are Vocalists of merit, and on each occasion have been called upon for re-appearances. Scotch witticisms by George Harvey quite took the fancy of those present, and also prominent in humorous items is Fred Whitlow, most favored of hie turns being the scandal scene, "Over the Fence." To-night- the Smart Set stage a complete change of programme.
