CROQUET.

STRATFORD CLUB. The annual meeting of the Stratford Croquet Club was held in the pavilion on October 19, Mrs. Relra (president) occupying the chair In the presence of a good attendance of members. The annual report and balance-sheet, which showed the club to be in a good flnnncia! position,- having a credtt balance of £lB, was read and adopted. The club, unfortunately, had lost several members during tile year owing to removal from the district, but had gained a number of now members to take iholr places, thus assuring the club of a very pleasant and successful future. The election of officers resulted as follows : President, Mrs. 1. men; vice-president, Mrs. T. rurcell; secretary and treasurer, Mrs. it. H. White; honorary auditor, Mr. C. H. Penn; committee, Mesdames, Boon, Sliarpe, Weston and Ward. It was decided to open the season on Tuesday, November 1.
