teachers; grading. By Telegraph.-- J "css Association. Dimcdin, Oct. 21. The Education Board resolved on Die subject, of the grading of teachers to forward the result of the ballot of the Otago teachers (o the Minister, with a strong recommendation that nothing be done until a similar ballot bad been taken in all districts. The chairman remarked that the result ,of the ballot showed, in his opinion, that those running the Educational Institute did not represent the teachers, ilmt the aristocracy of tho teaching profession. At an exceptionally large and representative meeting of sawmillers held at Tai'nape on Wednesday it was vrnnnimouslv resolved that the Dominion f-awmillers' Federation be written to requesting if to approach Ihe Hoard of Trade and the Government with a view to having Ihe principle ifffirmed lhat timber may be sold locally on the bafis of Ihe world's market price, as has already been affirmed in connection with other products of the Dominion.
