They played a one day maieh against a strong Ceylon team. Ceylon made 122. Waddington took two wickets for seven runs, and retired owing to an injured finger. Woolley look 3 v.ickeis for 28; Wilson, 2 for 22; and Rhodes, 2 for 10. England made 105 for nine wickets (Hendrcn 18, and Rhodes 42, being the chief scores). The match was drawn.
