Loan ad Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Stratford, report as follows: In conjuctton with Newton King, Ltd., we held our first sale of the season at Whangamomona on Wednesday last, the Cth inst. Yarding was a poor one, both in numbers and quality of stocks, and a dragging sale resulted. Trices realised were: Wether hoggets 30s, 4-year steers, £lO 10s; empty heifers, £S; springing heifers, £9 10s, £lO 2s Cd. Tho next Whangaroomona sale will be held on 24th November. PRIVATE SALES. Dairy heifers and cows are still selling very well, heifers laving firmed considerably. We also have inquiries for good hoggets. Sales made include: Hoggets, £l, 4s, £1 7s, £1 9s Cd; yearling heifers, £0 15s (Jersey cross), empty heifers. £7 to £8; springing heifers, £l2 to £l6; cows, £lB to £22 10s; 3-year steers. £S 12s 6d.
