HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, WORK STILL TO DO, By Telegraph, —Press Ajsooiatlou. Wellington, Lust Night. The House of (Representatives met at 7.30 p.m. Replying to Mr. G. Witty (Ricearton), Mr. Masaoy said the business to come before the House this session wou\d probably consist o£ the following Bills. First of all there was the Finance Bill, which, he thought, would not be contentious, but it was a measure the country could scarcely do without. Then there would be the Bank of New Zealand Bill, and the Mines, Coal Mines, and Counties BillsJ which were now before a committee of the House. There would also be a Housing Bill, Compensation for Accidents Bill, and a Kailway Land Bill, which would not be contentious, and the Pensions, Superannuation, Public Service, Washing Up (which may be both Native and European), Local Railways, Exposure of Dangerous Goods, Harbors, Sotorua Control, Nurses Registration, Incorporation Societies, Industrial Life Insurance, and the .Appropriation Bills.

THE POTATO EMBARGO. Replying to Mr. D. Jones (Kaiapoi), the Hon. W. Nosworthy said no report had yet reached the Government from the Australian potato expert regarding New Zealand potatoes, but the Premier had cabled to the Premier of the Commonwealth asking if any report had reached him, and, if so, what its nature is. * PENSION HARDSHIPS. Replying to Mr. J.'V. Brown (Napier), Mr. Massey said it was the intention of the Government to set up a board of appeal to deal with cases of hardship in connection with pensions. DENTAL BURSARIES. Replying to Mr. T. K. Sidey ('Dunedin South), the Hon. C. J. Parr said lie would consider the question of dental bursaries,' during the recess, and he thought he would have to confer with the authorities of the Otago Dental School and the Dental Association.
