STRATFORD GUN CLUB.
MEMBERS' SHOOT. The Stratfor* Gun Club held a members' shoot at Messrs. Nelson and Green's property on Thursday, the weather being very, wet. There was a good attendance of shooters, and some fairly good scores were registered. Mr. S. D. Coleman, who was unable to shoot, owing to a disability, kindly referecd, and his decisions met with every satisfaction. Following are the results of the shoots:— i No. I Shoot.—J. 0. Carlson (12 yds), 6 birds, the possible, 1; \V. O'Brien (15 yds.) and F, Casey (H yds) !i birds each, 2. Eleven competed. No. 2 Shoot.—W. O'Brien (16vds.) and P.I Casey (15 yds) 11 birds each, I;'J. 0. Carlson (14 yds) 10 birds, 3. Eleven competed. No. D Shoot.—P. Casey (IB yds), Green (14 vds), p. Jenkins.Jl" yds), .1. Martin (10 yds.) II birds each, dividing, (he sweep. Eleven competed No. 4 Shoot.— P. I. T.iKe (14 vds), 11 birds, I; B. Green (15 yds ) 10 birds, 2; W. O'Brien 'lO yds.), j. 0. Carlson (13 yds). A. Nelson (14 yds), and H. Harrison (10 yds), ft birds, 5. Nine competed. First Miss Out.-A. Nelson ( M yds) 3oi p. enklns (U yds), shot eight rounds and divided. _ Special thanks are due to Mrs. A. Nelson tor her kindness in providing tea and scones for the gathering. I„ the wet conditions of the day, this was greatly appreciated by all present. Mr. P. Casey has presented a trophy valued at £2 2s to be shot for at the next shoot on too 14th Inst., when the principal competition of the day will be a £2 sweepstake of 21 birds.
