TARANAKI WAR RELIEF ASSOCIATION.

TARANAKI EXECUTIVE. The executive of the Taranaki Provincial War Relief Association met at Stratford yesterday morning. Present: Messrs. W. P. Kirkwood (chairman), Percival, Tosland, Stevenson, Young, Master, Chainey, Larcomb, Mills and Tayler. Arising out of correspondence received from the Wellington Association regarding medical examinations of permanently disabled men, it was decided that in the case of the two men mentioned, their expenses should he paid to Stratford to 1 enable them to be medically examined in Stratford. With reference to a request that the Association contribute £5lB towards a £IO,OOO fund being raised to provide for the needs of blinded soldiers, the Associatiorr decided to defer the matter until the next meeting, when a report will be brought, down concerning the finances of the Association. Letters were received from the Marlborough War Relief Association and the Auckland War Relief Association inquiring for details of the Association's scheme of operat ions. The chief business before tlie meeting was a discussion on the finances of the Association, which is dealt with in another column.
