SHIPPING DEPRESSION. A -DANGEROUS "RELIGION. By Telegraph.—Press Asm.—Copyright. Tokio, Sept, 13. The depression in shipping business is so acute that the Government has dispatched officials to Kobe and Osaka to investigate the situation and suggest remedies. Approximately 80 steamships are idle in the principal Japanese ports. A prominent shipping official said that the store-houses are choked with goods, but nothing is being taken out, and therefore there is no need for steamer^. According to Press estimates, Japan will have 120 submarines in 1925. A new mysterious religion, Omo Tykyo, has been recently established in Japan. It i.s said to be an extreme form of Socialism, aiming at the destruction of the existing social order. Members of the cult are mostly retired discontented military, men.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
