The Australian and New Zealand Press Asosciation learns authoritatively that an Imperial Conference will not be twld in Canada in 19*21. the Colonial Office is desirous of perpetuating a Premiers' Conference, similar to the Imperial War Cabinet, eomprising Prime Ministers only, independently, of the ordinary Imperial Conference comprising other Ministers. The letter m%ht meet in the Dominions sucbut a Premier's Conference is tally possible in London, because the British Premier cannot absent himself from Eurbpe. Some time ago it was proposed to h<dd a Conference in Canada preliminary to a- Premiers' Conference in London, but the idea was abandoned owing to a ?Kk of unanimity among the DominjpßJ. Pttubts have now arisen whether any conference whatever will be held in 16$). Some Dominions are of the opinion that constitutional proposals regarding intor-Imperial relations should be formulated by the Colonial Office, and discussed by the Dominions' Parliaments and .tltf Press 'before their submission to an Imperial Conference. It is understood the Colonial Office prefers that the Dominions should formulate their own proposalsMean while, it is suggested tentatively that * conference should meet in London in June,—Aus.-N.Z.
