WAR IN SOUTH RUSSIA.
GENERAL WRANGEL'S OPERATIONS By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Sept. 11, 5.5 p.m. London, Sept. 10. General Wrangel, in a statement to a Russian newspaper, said that in view of the change in the attitude of the Allied rowers, and the victory of the Poles, he must concentrate his forces north of the province of Tunvida to enable them to act in a direction west. "In consequence) of this," General Wrangel said, <; We are evacuating the Kuban region, where our troops, far from having suffered defeat, have beaten two Red divisions, captured nine thousand prisoners, and eight #un.s, and have increased our effective forces two and a half times."—Renter Service.
