COMPENSATION FOR WIDOWS.
Auckland, Sept. 10, Three widows of seamen—Jalton and Raskin, of Auckland, and Rooke, of Australia—applied to' the Arbitration Court claiming compensation' for the deaths of their husbands, who sailed in the barquentine Lyman 0. Poster, from the owners, G. T. Niccol, A; S. Paterson, Ltd., and Jphn Burns and Company, ship-owners. The vessel was posted missing at Lloyd's in January, 1920. Judgment for £SOO each, was given in the cases of Slesilames Jalton and Haskin. The third case was adjourned for fuller evidence.
