POSTAL RATES.
REVISION FOR MAGAZINES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Representatives of booksellers and stationers Waited on the J'qstniasterGeneral to-day in regard to the increased charges for posting magazines. They pointed out that the charges for letters had been doubled compared with the pre-war rates, but the charge for magazines had been quadrupled. They suggested a revised scale. The Minister replied that when he heard there were complaints about the new rates he had the matter gone into by the Secretary of the Post Office, with the result that what the depuation had contended had been found to be correct. A new scale had been submitted, and he would approve of it, Great minjls must have thought alike, for the scale was the same as proposedby the deputation. The nfew scale would charge twopence for eight ounces and a penny for every additional eight ouaceg.
