QUESTION OF DISTRIBUTION. {By Wire.—Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, Last Sight. Mr. 0. Hawkcu (Egmont) asked in the House to-day when the surplus wool profits would be distributed. There seemed to be unreasonable .delay. The Prime Minister replied that the distribution was already proceeding. He had received a, communication, to that effect from the Imperial Supplies Department, but he did not know in what order the payments were being made- » Mr. P. Fraser (Wellington Central) asked what the total amount oi the wool profits available for distribution in New Zealand would be. He understood that the second instalment had been placed to the credit of the Government. Mr. Massey replied that he was unable to answer the question. The coun-, try could do with all the money that it was possible to secure. The first 1 instalment had been £1.6w),00Q- He hid seen a published statement to the , effect that Sir Arthur Goldfinch, Wlift was handling the payments in Britain, believed that the second instalment would be larger than the first. "I am afraid his opinion is not correct," added Mr. Massey. "Ml <fwu estimate is that we should, get. Mother million."
