LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Glsaorne, Last Night. Tho semi-final of tho ladles' hockey championship was played to-day between Canterbury and Poverty Bay A. The weather Was ideal . The two teams were evenlv matched, and amidst intense excitement, the whistle blew with the score one each. Miss Ritchie netted for Canterbury, and Miss K. Hei for Poverty Hay. The match was preceded by a game, between Wellington and Mannwntn, which resulted in a draw, three goals each. Misses Martin (two), and Williams scored for Wellington, and Miss Pitt, for Mnnawatu. To-morrow, Poveity Bay A play Auckland for the championship.
