ALASKA TO THE RESCUE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Seattle, Sept 4. Colonel Greenery, the newly-appointed Chief Forester of the United States, says that Alaska contains about 100,000,000 cords of pulp wood, and can produce 1,500,000 tons of newsprint yearly, which virtually equals the amount the United States is now compelled to infport from Canada.
