The Echo de Paris states that negotiations with the American financial group for the i French loan of 100,000,000 dollars continue. Bidding was not particularly brisk, but vendors had come to the market prepared to sell, and practically overything In the yards was sold under the hammer or privately after the auction. Prices taken all over were satisfactory. At Stratford on Tuesday we report a good i yarding of sheep and cattle. Sheep met with a poor demand.; Best dairy heifers from £l4 , to £lB, later aorta £lO to £l2, store cows nt late rates, 2-year empty heifers £6 10s ; to £7 13s, best weaner heifers £4 to £4 13s, others £3 ss. At Inglewood, sheep and cattle were yarded in good numbers. Sheep: Best hoggets 28s, others 22s 6d, ewes and lambs 33s Dairy i liclfers yarded showed the offect of the short- • jess of feed, and were poor in both Quality and condition. Best Jersey heifers up to £22, others according to condition, good framed store cows £8 to £lO, light young sorts £5 to £7, old to £5, 2-year steers [ £5 to £6, yearling ditto to £3, empty yearling Jersey heifers £ll 17s 6d, others , £3 to £4. At Auroa, on Friday,, there was only a moderate yarding. Prices showed an imirovement in all departments. \Fat cows to £l4, good forward ditto £9 to fill, others £5 to £B, yearling heifers £4 10s to £5 14s, Jersey ditto to £9, yearling steers to , £3 10s, dairy heifers £l2 to £lB 10s.
