The dlcharu'lng of the Kittawa's cargo oi coat was interrupted on account of the Btrong wind yesterday, no work being done aftei noon. She Is now expected to sail ton WettporS at noon to-day THE ATSUTA MARU. No work was done on the Atsut* Maru No. 2 after noon yesterday,, and her sailing will consequently be delayed for halt a day at least. GALE HAMPERS" WORE, A very strong souther-easterly gale prevailed at the breakwater yesterday, and all shipping work was discontinued at 12 o'clock. Work commenced as usual in the morning, but as the wind became stronger it was derided to cease work pending an abalemenl of the gale. LOUIS THIERAULT DISABLED. The schooner Louis Thlerault, bound from Adelaide to Auckland, was towed Into Sydney in a leaky condition.

TEE ADMIRAL CODRDiGTON. The New Zealand-owned steamer Admiral Codrington, which recently arrived at Liverpool from Australasian ports, has been chartered to. load sleepers at Western Australia for New Zealand. NEW RED FUNNEL STEAMER. The newly-acquired steamer of the Union Company's fleet, the Cosmos, which Is to be renamed Karaka, is due at Melbourne early next month from West of England ports. The vesser will complete her discharge at Sydney and Newcastle. f THE WEST CAMARGO. The steamer West Camargo left Auckland at 6.30 pm. on Saturday for Wellington In continuation of her voyage from San Francisco. The vessel Is due at Wellington today, and after discharge there, comes to New Plymouth. PORT ALMA TO LOAD. The C. and D. Line advise that the steamer Port Alma was to leave Sydney on Saturday for New Plymouth and Wellington to load for London The vessel Is due at New Plymouth on Thursday, and at Wellington about September Vsth., and is to leave Wellington for Home about the 26th inst. THE OTARAMA. The New Zealand Shipping Co.'s liner Otararaa arrived at Wellington yesterday from Waitara to complete Homeward loading. The vessel is to leave Wellington to-morrow or Thursday for London via Panama. PORT SYDNEY AT AUCKLAND. The C. and D. Line steamer Port Sydney arrived at Auckland on Saturday from London via Australian ports. The vessel is to proceed next to Napier and Wellington, arriving at Wellington In about ten days time. The Port Sydney lias about 3000 tons of cargo to discharge at Wellington. She is to load at rfapier and Wellington, and w l ll sail about the end of September f,-r London via Panama. CANADIAN GOVERNMENT BOATS. The Canadian Government steamer Canadian Prospector is due to arrive at Wellington on tho 19th inst from Vancouver, via Melbourne with 830 tpns of timber and 70 tons of general-cargo to discharge there. The Canadian Exporter Is due nt Auckland on the 23rd inst., from Vancouver, via Sydney, and should reach Wellington about the 30th Inst. After discharge she wlll load general cargo at Wellington for Melbourne and Sydney. ULIMAROA ARRIVES. The ■Ullmhro,-!, from Sydney, arrived at Wellington at 030 last evening. The Ulimaroa wlll remain at Wellington until next Thursday, when she will sail for Sydney and Hobart, SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. ARRIVED.
