WEDDING.

EVANS—BEOK. A very pretty wedding was solemnised at, St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, New Plymouth, on September 3, when Elizabeth Mary (Eirna), youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Beck, of .\ew Plymouth, was married to George R Evans, of Waiuku, Auckland, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Evans, of New Plymouth. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Oscar Blundell, Miss Gladys Waypresiding at ihe organ. The churcil was beautifully decorated by girl friends of tlie bride. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a frock of ivory crepe-de-chine with an overdress of lace with pearl trimmings. .She aiso wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and carried a shower bouquet of white hyacinths, heath, and maiden-hair fern. The bridesmaids (Miss Ruth Evans, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Eva Hyde, of Wellington) wore dainty white frocks, with hats to match, and carried bouquets of spring blossoms. The bridegroom was supported by .Mr. Gordon Been', of Oliakune, brother of the bride, as best, man, and liis brother, Mr. Charles Evans, of New Plymouth, as groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held in Messrs May'and Arro-.vsmithV, where the usual toasts were honored. Later the happy couple loft for the north on their honeymoon, carrying v/ith them the best wishes of a large circle 'of friends.
