APPEAL IN BRITISH COURTS. By Telejraiih—Press Asr- --Conyr"'" v London, July 30. The' Appeal Court lias allowed #ie appeal of the former Tsar Ferdinand of Bulgaria against the recent judgment vesting his British securities in the Ireasury. The Master of the Rolls pointed out that the Trading with the Enemy Acts were in many respects inconsistent with the ancient right of the Crown to confiscate the property of an enemy. This ancient right had been temporarily superseded by these ActsIn''July, 1919, a jury inquiring under the wafer of the Great Seal declared property amounting to £400,000 in Britain, belonging to' Ferdinand of Bulgaria. forfeited to the Crown. Later Ferdinand was permitted to traverse the original verdict, and attempted, through counsel, to stop the transfer of his securities to the Treasury, claiming that they were no longer the property of a Bulgarian, but belonged to a German subject, Prince Frederick of Coburg.
